So how did I come to enjoy food? Well, friends, it was a long and arduous path with many challenges, all of which I have faced sitting down with a fork and smile, and always a napkin (because of my genetic predisposition to spilling on anything white or expensive).
Today, my parents are quite proud–or, rather, excited because they know they are no longer afflicted with a daughter who throws a fit if her happy meal is not brought with them into the fine dining restaurant. This was a regular occurrence until about 6 months ago…aaaand, this is where you get to know that I do tend to have a sarcastic undertone to my writing–and my conversation.
People usually don’t know if I’m serious or if I’m kidding. I like to bring this into my writing, so, in order to make this relationship work, let’s just agree here and now that you’ll never believe anything I say.
Here is all you need to know.
I work in the nonprofit sector. I volunteer a lot of my time to the Young Nonprofit Professional Network. I went to an all women’s college.
I believe we all have a right to the opportunity to live a healthy and fulfilling life.
I’m also constantly complaining about my own life and people in it (don’t worry–it will NEVER be you. I only talk about other people).
I grew up playing basketball and softball. I have an excellent shot on the court and I am so fast people used to call me Forrest Gump.
I have taken my turn at improv.
What’s next? Let’s find out, shall we?

Love the pic sis! I LOOK super excited to enjoy our meal!
That’s because you made the meal, and when YOU make the meal it is ALWAYS absolutely wonderful! Glad to have you around to keep me fed
Thanks for the market tip! Hadn’t heard of Nijiya.. glad to hear they carry locally grown veggies. Everything here looks yummy!
whenever I see tortillas, I always think back to my afterschool snack in elementary. Mom used to heat a tortilla up over the stove fire and spread butter on it, roll it up, and serve it to me while I started my homework..
Sometimes there is nothing better than the taste of a hot tortilla and butter! Sounds like some good motivation. I bet you always wanted to do homework!
